With this release, we will also sadly announce that this will be the final volume we will be working on. The two mods on this now have full time jobs and we couldn't give our full focus on this fun project. ficbinding typesetting questions!
I'm working on splitting TEG into 2 volume and 3 volume versions for ficbinders. So these questions are about multiple volumes that will be printed out and not ebooks:
Volume 1 contains chapters 1 - 29. Volume 2 starts with chapter 30. Should volume 2 start with "1" or "30"? (Vellum's default is "1" and I'm not sure I can change it, but I will try if it's supposed to be "30")
If vol 1 has an epigraph/dedication, does vol 2 need those as well?
Do people find Table of Contents pages helpful? I've always liked them but they're absent in the published sci fi books I'm looking at as examples.
If the answers are "vibes, man" that's fine. But if there are actual, like, industry-standard answers, I'd love to know! Plus anything else I might need to know about front/back matter and volumes.
