one scene you wanted to see in season 8
Okay I'm going to admit something. I have never seen season 8 :"(
BUT, from what I do know about season 8...
Or really just the whole show overall, I really wish we got more episodes focusing specifically on the main characters rather than the war. It feels like as the show went on, we didn't really get to see those relationships develop, so the whole found family trope kinda fell flat on its own face.
Like we're suppose to believe they're super close and like family, and they just...don't spend time together. Especially since certain characters lack any interaction together (a big example of this is Allura and Hunk. They practically have no moments together).
This ties in with my love for episodes like Space Mall. The characters actually spent time with each other and their arcs overlapped. They showed their friendship with each other.
I also wish there were more episodes that directly addressed characters' insecurities. They were mention a lot but never acknowledged or directly resolved (Lance's inferiority issues, Keith's abandonment issues, Pidge's fears of losing family, Allura's loss of family).
I can't think of a specific scene I wanted but I hope this answers ur questions!
ohmigosh you like Voltron toooo :D??? i like punk (Hunk and Pidge)
I used to be really into it! I've sort of grown away from it in the past few years, but I was really into it for a while :)
They're okay, I was always more of a Klance fan :3 I really loved their characters tho! I wish we had gotten more Hunk development from the series in the end tho, he deserved better :/
I just discovered Larmina whoās apparently supposed to Alluraās ānieceā and can I just say that she makes more sense as Merlaās daughter (itās the hair) since sheās resembles Merla a lot more than Allura (plus Alluraās never shown to have siblings so how could she exist in the first place)
Hi Anon, thank you for the Ask!
Ahh yes, Larmina.
Another creation of DotU retconning by the Voltron Force cartoon.
Larmina probably would have made more sense, and been more interesting as Merla's daughter...if Voltron Force (VF) hadn't also retconned the made-for-US season of Voltron DotU (Lion) where Merla appears.
Not to be salty, but that is one of the things that really bugged me about VF. Like I get why they went in the direction, but they could have done this awkward sequel that completely ignores Vehicle Voltron & 2nd Lion Voltron without making Larmina related to Allura.
Larmina can easily stand on her own merits as a character. She didn't need to be related to Allura, or at least not so directly. She could have been a distant relative via Romelle's side of the family, or Merla. (tangent: the reason Larmina has the ponytail is because that's a common visual trope for Action Girls)
Anyway, if you're diving fully into Voltron Force, pick up (or pirate) the comics for the sake of the Drule twins.

I have a question for the Voltron Ask! This question is for Allura. Did you have a hard time adjusting to having your fatherās reincarnation on the team?
@nerdgirluniverse19
(sorry if this went off question š¤Ŗš¤Ŗš¤Ŗ)
LANCE IS SO BEAUTIFUL I LOVE HIMMMM - ;-;
AGREED! Heās such a beautiful boi :āD
What was the moment that turned you into a Sheith fan?
Honestly, I was committed from the very first episode. The very first time we see Keith find Shiro, his reaction just hit me like a ton of bricks and I fell in love with them instantly.
I remember talking excitedly about this in an article I wrote about a year ago when I talked about how I felt that Keith and Shiro represented the qualities of Faith and Commitment very well. (If youād like to read the full article, feel free to check it out here)
So let me preface this one with something really quick. First of all, the animation studio, design team, etc, are many of the same people that worked on Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. So not only are they known for some beautiful animation, theyāre known for a lot of emotion and purpose that they put into their work as well. For one, when you have limited time and must hand draw nearly every part, everything that you put into a shot should have purpose. And with this team, they had proven time and time again to be absolute masters at placing some of the most subtly powerful shots Iād ever seen. It was such a novel concept, to me at the time, to see what was essentially a cartoon turn into this beautiful and emotional epic, coupled with relatable characters, realistic life issues and powerful relationship development and character growth.
So when I saw Keith running in to save Shiro, before I really knew that much about the story or characters, I knew immediately just how important Shiro was to Keith.
The first moments we see of Keith, are him racing against time. While the rest of the future Paladins are watching, Keith is already in motion. Breaking into the tent, he startles the recovering team, his intentions like his movements; a blur. Putting them out of the picture, he leaps over the unconscious bodies and equipment. It is beyond clear that this is no calm rescue.
And the second that Keith arrives at Shiroās side, his demeanor instantly changes. Itās almost like visual whiplash. When we first see Keith, his eyes are cold and furious, but they soften with emotion as he recognizes Shiro on the table. The same hands that struck down the scientists in his way now gently reach out to turn his friendās face to better see him. He softly speaks his name, as though he dare not utter it too loud. And then, without a second thought, he cuts Shiro free and lifts him up. Running out of time, Keith prepares to haul off an unconscious adult male as dead weight in his arms, risking imprisonment or even worse by the Garrison in his last desperate effort.
And the moment Lance rushes in, Keithās head snaps up and his eyes harden. Heās immediately defensive. If they hadnāt been there to help, he may have fought them as well, and his dispassionate words during their escape sum up his frustration and protectiveness for Shiro before he finally has the peace of mind that Shiro is safely in his care and takes the time to get to know them. (Though even that is largely only because Shiro is doing so as well)
And then we have this quiet scene. Just the two of them. Once again Keithās demeanor is gentle and affectionate. The way he looks and talks to Shiro speak volumes. Even before we learn how long Keith waited for Shiro, and how long he searched for answers. Even before we see how Keith time and time again throws himself into the fray without a momentās hesitation to be at Shiroās side, we saw this.
I didnāt know how far itād go and Iām not sure where it will go from here. But itās been a wild ride since day one and every single step has been worth it. Iāve shed so many tears for these two and have shared my excitement and joy with so many like-minded people thanks to them. Their unwavering and mutual affection, dedication, admiration, and respect for each other is both heartwarming and inspiring and I look forwards to sharing their journey all the way to the end.
