if only i had more info on Volkv atm then i could’ve made his segment just a bit better:

~“Ah, My Hero before you leave!” HorkeuKamui stopped you at the door before you could leave for your daily routine. “Please remember to stay hydrated. I made sure to chill this enough to last you throughout the day. So please, drink when you can.” The wolf Therian explained as he handed you a metallic water bottle. You thanked him for his help. “Anything for you, My Hero.” Kamui was as diligent as ever. While you wished he’d take more time for himself, you appreciated all the dedication he put into aiding you on your quest.

~Your health wasn’t the only thing Kamui kept track of. He’d often clean your room while you were away, take care of any laundry for you that accumulated throughout the week, prepare most of your meals to your particular tastes that he picked up on as time went on, aided you in combat training so you could learn proper sword techniques. On top of it all when performing his duties he’d insist on spending some time with you whenever able. He’d enjoy spending said time learning more and more about your own vices and gripes. It felt like he was always able to learn a new thing about you.

~There was one day after sword practice Kamui seemed rather distant. You tried asking him what was on his mind. “Ah…!” You caught him off guard since he wasn’t expecting such a straightforward inquiry. “It’s nothing you need to concern yourself with.” Kamui explained, his face returning to his soft smile. You told Kamui he can be pretty unfair sometimes. He’d always want to get to know everything about you but he gets to keep everything to himself? That’s simply not fair. Kamui was taken aback by this. However rather than offer any words of encouragement he pulled you into a hug and looking you in the eyes. “You have no need for those petty thoughts, believe me. Just know my loyalty is for you and you alone, My Hero.”

~“What do you mean your thirsty? Get water then.” Volkv told you plainly. “I’m not your errand boy!” Volkv was heavily against doing things for you and would much rather let you do things on your own. While his initial reaction was always one that was rude at first, his real intention was to have you stand on your own without needing to feel coddled all the time. He just wanted you to grow into your own version of yourself.

~That wasn’t to say he wasn’t above lending you a hand when you genuinely needed it. If something was too much for you to handle, like a watch dog he’d leap down to your aid and finish up the hard parts. Afterwards he might call you a delicate flower or even still just a child. When you’d thank him for his help he’ll deny he did it exclusively for you and find some random excuse for helping out. You just happened to be involved. You could clearly read through the act of denial despite his insistence, but you digress as you let him leave back into the shadows where he originally came from to help you.
