Spoilers for early Vol 10:
So. While Maomao's packing for her big sea voyage we get some lore about Joka and the Ka character / flower character. Specifically we get the strongest explanation about how the Ka character in names is highly taboo for anyone not in the imperial family, and that Joka named herself that as basically a huge banner of rebellion in a society and a line of work she hates (good for her).
Where this is funny is if we go back to the Jinka disguise. For literally anyone else Jinshi would've given himself away right there. But because it's Maomao, she just writes it off as odd. Probably with an unspoken bonus thought of "What chip on his shoulder does he have to do what Joka did? Well, he's a young eunich, that might be enough."
I dearly, dearly hope that if/when Jinshi and Joka ever interact that comes up again. It'll be funny.
