10 reasons on why this picture is special to me.

BCLikesYou is a great designer, musician, organizer, performer, bro, etc, etc. Happy to be working with him and all the friendly Roch Chip people.

Snapped by Joe Makowski, Music Director at WITR. He's been promoting the shit out of the Roch Chip stuff to say the least. If a music scene is connected to a college radio station at a techie school, in a techie city, you are doing it rite IMHO.

That red circle behind BC is from a music video that I color-matched to his shirt in real time. Sometimes when I focus on one thing, I can do more with it than layering effects and different imagery. It's like the zen minimalism philosophy. 

I think this was used during one of BC's new songs I've never heard before. I don't remember exactly (I could be wrong) but this video is perfect for songs that I don't know. It starts off slow and has a visual crescendo about 60 seconds in. It usually matches up with songs under 4 minutes.  

This was the debut of my new screen. I love it and it looked so much better than the wrinkled bedsheets and drop cloths I've been using at small clubs. It was expensive, heavy, and takes a while to set up. It was worth it though to me.

The exit sign is not actually an exit sign, it's video of the exit sign right above my new screen.

Because the webcam was pointed directly at the screen from the projector POV, it created an infinite mirror effect and at times I was VJing for more than one screen at once, and taking into consideration how the second screen was looking. It was the first time I ever did that, and it was a fresh challenge I didn't completely expect. Some of the audio-triggered effects created a delay type of effect. Heard lots of comments on it from ppl.

The webcam used for the inception effect was borrowed from my office. We converted to Macs from PC and most Apple computers have webcams built in. So now we have a few extra webcams laying around collecting dust. That old webcam is a symbol that represents a bunch of things: a) An opportunity to reuse low-res gear in a time where everything is disposable and obsolete jives with the chiprock culture, I think.  b) Our CEO read Job's biography and issued the Apple switch mandate) c) a Robinhood sense of stealing from the man to fund art.

taken at Bug Jar. There was a murder there this year and the community pulled together to petition to the city not to close it down. It's open again, and now we have vibrant positive art happening. YAY
