Somehow, watching the scene where Radovid and Jaskier are first introduced only gets simultaneously funnier and wholesomer with time...
Just the way Radovid is going:
"And my brother's not bad..."
*Pauses with earnest, pleading expression.* "...as monarchs go." *Takes an even longer pause with a look of intense yearning and shallow breaths.*
"And Redania may not be perfect but it's her least bad option."
The wholesome? It shows that Radovid already liked Jaskier (and respected his intelligence) enough to offer genuinely sincere and honest arguments from the start, rather than attempt to bullshit him.
The funny? Radovid's very enthusiastic endorsement of his brother as king.
Essentially: I know my brother kinda sucks, but thankfully the monarchs of this Continent have set the bar so ridiculously low that he's really not that bad in comparison. That being said, the second I finally find someone that suits me that is also willing to take me, I'll be bolting out of there!
It kinda makes me want to see a modern AU where Vizimir has decided to run for prime minister, and he's sending Radovid out there to convince people to vote for him.
"Well, my brother's not bad..." *Pauses while looking like he's in pain just from saying it.* "... as prime minister candidates go." *Gives them a pleading, desperate look.* He may not be perfect, but he's your least bad option."
