My Journey as a visual communicator
Imagine a lost book that has left the shelf, dusty and unread, that is me without art. I am Bunmi Makinde and I am an art freak. On this page, you will get to see not just my designs but other designs that inspires me. I have never learnt how to draw but I have had a passion for art since I was 5years old. I grew up to tell a personal narrative of art through my talent, which later developed into a passion.
With my love for art, I was opportune to learn sign language so I could communicate art to the challenged ones (the deaf and dumb). Consequently, I have been able to give voice to the voiceless and to tell their unexpressed thoughts through my artworks. What defines me as a talented artist is my deep commitment in all aspects of art because it has a special place in my heart and behind my finished artworks are countless hours of experimentation, minutes of frustration and moments of pure joy.
This is the reason I never lose my wonder in this world because my artworks are wrapped with a piece of me. I am loving visual communication so far, every aspect of it has been unique and it has been contributing to my personal and professional development. Cheers!
