‘BLCK ON BLCK’ 2012 / artist guillaume constantin courtesy the artist & galerie bertrand grimont
BLCK ON BLCK est le fac simile d'un catalogue d'une exposition d'Ad Reinhardt édité par la Marlborough Gallery en 1970. Un ouvrage partagé entre objectivité, une impression offset noire sur papier noir, et l'expressivité de cette absence de couleurs qui font ainsi écho à certains paradoxes contenus dans les Black Paintings ici présentées. Via ce geste, Guillaume Constantin poursuit sa quête de matériaux contemporains et ses interrogations sur les standards, les gestes élémentaires de fabrication. Ceux-ci définissant le statut et le devenir des objets qu'il élabore ou réemploie.
