It is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and is a haven for lovers of sport, nature and adventure.⁣ ⁣ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲:⁣ ⁣ First take a train from Torino Porta Nuova station to Savigliano. Next catch a bus to Saluzzo with 'BusCompany' and then change for Chianale, which is run by the same company.⁣ ⁣ Check out the bus timetables on www.grandabus.it. ⁣ Canon EOS 250D | 18mm | 1/160s | f/18 | ISO 100⁣⁣ Taken on 26/07/2020.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Deep in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park straddling the Aosta Valley and Piedmont regions, the Colle del Nivolet is one of Italy’s best-kept secrets.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ At 2,612 metres above sea level (after around 30 hairpin turns!), it is one of the highest roads in Europe and yet it is still virtually unknown to international visitors.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ As you might expect at this high altitude, it gets mighty windy even in the summer months. Make the most of the jaw-dropping views, though, before it can completely cloud over.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Fortunately it is possible to reach Colle del Nivolet, but (understandably) only during the summer months.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The bus company 'GTT' runs a service from Turin and Rivarolo Canavese to Lago Serrù, the lake that's further away in my photo.
