This is an interesting question! Although, I have to confess, I have never really paid much attention to the first season of any Skam adaptation besides the original because I found it a bit boring? So this will just cover the other seasons/couples/characters. 

Edoardo and Eleonora, to me, are the best execution of both the Noorhelm plot line and that relationship in general. I realize a lot of people kind of thrive on the toxicity inherent to the original relationship, and that’s their prerogative, but the consistent theme of communication between Edoardo and Eleonora really called to me. Even at their worst, they were communicating, and that’s what a relationship should entail, ultimately. I also think their season just went really ham on the cinematic parallels and atmosphere, which gave it an added edge over the other adaptations (although I thought Druck did very nicely in this regard, too). Edoardo is also my favorite William because there’s a level of maturity, care, and intent he exerts that I sometimes see the other adaptations lacking in; he’s like the best of what Senne and Alexander respectively have to offer, but combined. (Also, speaking of Senne, he and Zoë are a very close second for me.) 

I think most people would agree Lucas and Elliot are the best adaptation of Evak? Not that any of these adaptations is without its share of tragedy and yearning, but there was just an artistry that really pulled their arc together, and I think it helps that of all of the adaptations, they’re the ones we get to see as a couple the most. Lucas’s protectiveness, Elliot’s constant willingness to help others in a position similar to his own, and how those two things have to balance each other out. It’s very endearing to see them grow and change through their relationship with each other. And of course, the added bonus of Lucas being a casual musician while Elliot is into art work is really nice and seeing how being privy to those parts of each other brought out their respective feelings was really wonderful. 

I don’t know if anyone quite cares about this ship, but in terms of adaptations of Vilde and Magnus’s relationship, I have two favorites. I like Daphne and Basile in terms of how they are while they’re in the relationship, acting as this sort of supportive unit for each other, as opposed to Basile’s incessant pestering and fantasizing over her beforehand, which came across as pretty distasteful. I’m not sure why it’s something the writers even emphasized upon when their eventual intent was to show that Basile is a kind and caring person who constantly worries about the people he loves. He could have garnered Daphne’s interest just by being himself, and seeing him in the last season was especially wonderful, because we saw how that inclination towards caring for others even extended to strangers (Lola). In terms of actually getting into the relationship, I definitely prefer Viri and Hugo. It was sweet to see Hugo sort of quietly pine for her and struggle with liking her while not necessarily understanding her values or interests, and I like that Viri stood up for herself regardless of that. The way they got to know each other better just through casual, charged conversations was really adorable, especially because we got to see Hugo sort of uncover who Viri really is as a person because very few people have bothered to look beneath her layers.
