Virtual Desktop: Meta Quest 3 kabellos mit dem PC verbinden

Startprobleme: Ich hatte im Meta Store die App "Virtual Desktop" gekauft und im Headset installiert. Für den PC ist die App "Virtual Desktop Streamer" zu installieren. Wlan Verbindung steht, PC und MQ3 befinden sich im gleichen Netzwerk.

Beim ersten Start von "Virtual Desktop" wird angezeigt, dass kein PC gefunden wurde. Was ist zu tun?

In der Bibliothek gibt es "Remote Desktop" (Funktion: mehrere große virtuelle Bildschirme an PC "anschließen"; auf dem PC muß z.B. die Mixed Reality Link-App installiert sein) und "Windows App", die möglicherweise eine Koppelung mit dem PC herstellen können (z.B. über den Scan des QR Codes mithilfe der MQ3; den Code meines Screenshots habe ich modifiziert und unbrauchbar gemacht; er dient ja nur der Anschauung).

Es erscheint in der Quest ein Zahlencode, den man auch auf dem PC Bildschirm sieht und dort bestätigen muß. So ganz klar ist mir der Prozess leider bislang nicht.

Wichtig für die VErwendung von "Virtual Desktop" scheint mir zu sein, dass man in den "Schnelleinstellungen" unter "Link" die obere WLAN Option einzuschaltet.

Verfügbare Computer: hier wurde mein ...Sen.Z390... (PC Name) aufgelistet; das reicht schon.

Achtung: Klicke ich hier auf "Starten", so wird die Steam Umgebung gestartet; ich will aber mit "Virtual Desktop" (VD) arbeiten, daher hier nicht auf "Starten" klicken.

Nun suche ich in MQ 3 Bibliothek "VD" und starte es.

Auf dem PC ist "Virtual Desktop Streamer" geöffnet.

Jetzt sehe ich kurz das blaue Intro Logo und sehe dann meinen PC Monitor; mit dem linken Controller (dortige "Meta-Taste") öffnet sich das Basis Menü von "VD"; hier wird es dann interessant mit den Einstellungen und bildästhetischen Umgebungen; unter Videos kann man Filme (z.B. im Kinosaal) anschauen oder unter GAMES seine Steam Games sehen und starten.

Kurzfazit: kabellos auch Steam VR Games verwenden oder sonstige PC Games auf "großer Leinwand" spielen, nicht schlecht; auch die Environments sind toll. Freilich kann man über den PC Desktop auch Anwendungsprogramme starten (Texteditor uva.), Videos oder 3D Filme sehen. Auch nicht schlecht. Es ist aber nicht kostenlos, wie z.B. Steam Link. [Unter "Remote Desktop" war zwar mein Windows Desktop sichtbar, ich konnte mit der PC Oberfläche nicht interagieren. Gründe noch unklar.]

In manchen Umgebungen kann die MQ 3 auch die eigene Tastatur erkennen und gibt einen Blick darauf frei (von mir zur Anschauung rosa umrandet). Spielt man ein PC Game mit Tastatur und Maus, kann man "unter der MQ3" einen Blick auf die WASD Tasten. Sehr gut.
