During my kayak run this morning I ran across a small pod of four dolphin. Rather, they ran across me. I was approaching the inlet for a small power plant canal from the side and they were cruising up it parallel, fishing. I turned to meet them head on and I could see their bodies just below the water as they buzzed my yak. They surfaced just next to me and blew their air. I then spotted a third moving in and repositioned myself. We started to meet head on so I turned and kept moving with the current. He turned too and we were traveling parallel. I kept waiting for the breach until finally he did right beside me. Unfortunately, this terrible picture (taken as they were moving away) was the best I could get. I had my Garmin Virb recording and figured I'd have great video. I was so excited to watch!
