“What are we learning today, Viperfang?” Trueflight asked excitedly one evening. 

Shrewpelt stared at him. “Who?” 

“Oh, uh…” Trueflight ducked his head sheepishly. “It’s just a name we’ve been…I mean, no disrespect of course…” 

“It’s because of that fang stuck in your ear.” Goldenpelt batted at it, but Shrewpelt jerked his head away. 

“I mean, you did save my sister from a viper,“ Trueflight added. 

“Pretty sure it was a python, actually,” Shrewpelt said.
