Florence Malgoire
Violinist, conductor, and educator Florence Malgoire was born in 1960 in Dugny, France. Malgoire began playing violin at seven years old, and went on to become part of ensembles such as La Chapelle Royale and Les Arts Florissants. In 2003, she founded Les Dominos, an ensemble that specialized in 17th and 18th century chamber music. Malgoire also co-founded an all-female ensemble, Les Nièces de Rameau. She taught music throughout the world and was on the faculty of Geneva's Haute École de Musique.
Florence Malgoire died in 2023 at the age of 63.
