The new man is settling in!

The Texas giant vinegaroon is found in northern Mexico, and far West Texas. These arachnids squirt vinegar from the tip of their whip like tail, and feed on insects.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a name?

The liquid is vinegaroon! It's made by mixing white vinegar with metal, usually steel wool because it corroded faster but this batch I made with some old rusty drill bits. Let the metal sit in the vinegar for awhile (a few days is usually good, longer than that and you start getting iron filings dropping out of the solution).

Vinegaroon only interacts with tannins! That's why there isn't much of a reaction with the paper but the leather turns black. It does the same thing with any wood high in tannins too!

This is what I've been using with the dog collars I've been making to turn the edges black and any black work I need in the tooled areas.

managed to get him in his new house!! he is incredibly mad at me but he only cowered in that plant for like 10 min before he started calmly exploring and grooming himself so he isn’t too traumatized lol. only sprayed me just a tiny bit when i startled him!

i do really like his new tank, i’ll have at least 3-5 business days to enjoy it before he completely buries everything :’)

Gee, I haven't eaten since last year! Golly, I haven't showered since last year! Gosh, I haven't err... uhh.... crud that's all I got... imagine like a paragraph of those that was the vision
