I just want to strap a superhero down completely with some type of Contraption with an unknown purpose pointed at them, and I want to coo and pet their hair as they grit their teeth against the gag in their mouth and glare daggers at me and try to hide how terrified they are at being at my mercy

I've given up on making little robot doodad things for my schemes because you even just trip over one of those and they look up at you with eyes capable of complex thought and distend their simple mechanisms to tentatively ask if I'm their mother so obviously I have to melt them down at that point. I've switched over to a more homonculus focused lab cleaning approach but I have to really make sure that the riverbeds I get the clay from aren't haunted or hallowed because it'll be the same whole issue all over again. Cant have shit these days
