a few conversations in the last few vods (as of where i am) of lunar phase give me the feeling that autopilot needs to be needed. of course, he doesn’t understand the concept of this feeling, he likely doesn’t have the human feeling part, but he seems to have something.

it’s not in a toxic way, just a difference in excitement while defending versus an extreme robotic neutrality when people are explaining that they’re safe(ie. protecting Faunabot versus Faunabot telling him that she’s staying with Gleepglorp, and that Gleep will defend her)

to me, it makes sense. he has this attitude of excitement and complete engagement while protecting because it’s his job— his purpose. especially here, where the beacon was clearly a fluke, he’s setting out to help people because he has spare time. on the other hand, he disengages when they’re safe, because he isn’t needed anymore.

it’s an interesting little detail! much enjoy. amaze amaze amaze!
