And lo, now, as the Wheel of Fortune hath turned me once more toward the British lands, there stood before me the sister Adeline — like unto a living jewel-relic of antiquity, which age cannot wither, but which merely transmigrateth from moment to fleeting moment.

Her head is crowned with a most cunning bonnet, whereon a flower hath bloomed as if in the Gardens of Eden; and it fadeth not under the breath of Time, for all that which was, and is to come, existeth even now in simultaneity.
