Historically though, less people head to the polls for midterms. So your vote will matter MORE in the midterms as a result. Plus, it's not bound by the electoral college. So there is a higher chance of your candidate winning if those on the left come out as hard as they do the presidential elections. These are the people who are able to pass laws. Right now it's a nearly even split between Dems and Repubs in the Senate so it's difficult for them to get anything done. HOWEVER, if Dems have 67 seats instead of 50 then they can override filibusters which has been the biggest block.

The courts CAN be overridden, you just need 2/3rd votes in the House and Senate. So 67 for Congress and 290 for the House.

Dems would have to either win the support of 70 Republicans OR gain that many.

But here is the other thing.... to ratify it into the constitution to override the Supreme Court you would need a 3/4th vote from state legislators. There are 7,383 total legislative seats throughout the states. So we would need 5,537 to vote yes. This has happened only a few times in history. That would be the most secure option.

The other option is to create an Act. In that case you would need just the 67 for Congress, 290 for the House, and the president's signature.

There HAVE been a few times in history where the Dems have had 290, but they didn't have the super majority for the Senate at the same time since Roe v Wade was decided.

I KNOW that the Dems have failed us, but with the way the system is this is the only way. Otherwise we would have to wait a very long time to gain back control of the Courts so we can overturn that decision. Unless two of the Republican Justices somehow die or for whatever reason have to retire and we replace them with leftist Justices we won't be able to make that work.
