"Resistance is often misunderstood. It is not an answer (to a question or an order or a threat). It asks the question itself. Takes the floor and speaks first. I admire people who do not fixate on the enemy. He must go, be cut down, wiped off the face of the earth, absolutely. But ultimately it is about what lies behind him. Beyond him. About the world on the horizon. About its origin. The enemy differs from uprising to uprising. But it is always a combination of money, weapons, mass, laziness of the spirit, an obsession with the now, disinterest in the horizon and a cold lack of empathy for real people, in short: power. The enemy can be a group of men, an institution, a company or conglomerate of companies, a regime. Intelligent, certainly, in a malicious way. He fills the frame. He stands in the way of your every step. Day and night. You can hardly think of anything else. And yet, he is unimportant. Redundant, counterproductive, foolish, murderous at times but impotent. Sooner or later he will have had his peak. It may take three weeks or twenty years, he can destroy an entire generation, often even two or three, but then, poof. Face-planted on resistance. Stubborn and visible resistance. From people who don't give up in advance. Who do not let their imagination be taken away. That is the real name of resistance. The fuel. The inner fire. Imagination is not only needed to fathom and defeat the enemy, but also to be able to look through him. To imagine what lies beyond the battle. What you are looking for is not a future in which the roles are reversed. Not the mirror image of that enemy, but his absence. A world in which he does not exist."
