Seeing people claim that asking them not to vote for Graham Platner because he's affiliated with genocidal movements like the nazis, that he doesn't qualify for Vote Blue No Matter Who, is exactly like how people calling Biden and Harris Genocide Joe and Holocaust Harris were asking people not to vote for them. Saying that to oppose one violation of 'always vote blue' but not the other is hypocritical.
It is in fact, not hypocritical.
It is, in fact, a wonderful illustration of why hyperbole is bad in politics.
By looking at somebody who acknowledges that Israel's goal in Gaza was elimination of Hamas rather than genocide and that since he could not dissuade them from attacking the best way to minimize Palestinian casualties was to try to maximize influence over Israeli policy such that he could veto acts with unacceptably high civilian-to-combatant kill chances and ensure they'd be using precision bombs targeting combatants rather than dumb bombs killing everybody, and calling that person a "genocidal monster" because you think the important principle is keeping your hands clean and damn the consequences, you do not in fact help anybody. You don't save Palestinian Lives. You don't make the Hated Establishment look worse.
No, instead, when somebody who actually is affiliated with genuinely genocidal political movements shows up asking to be part of your club, you make them look better to onlookers, because after all, sure he's a nazi but so was Biden and Biden was fine!
That is not how this works. Biden did the best he could to minimize Palestinian casualties and rather than saving lives, cutting off American support to Israel would let Israel wage just as brutal a war (their limiting factor is not bullets or offensive bombs) but with far fewer restrictions- demanding that Israel be militarily independent of the US so the US can't tell him to be more humane and demand listening is actually a goal of Bibi's.
To say it is genocidal to not give Bibi the free reign he wants is not, in fact, the anti-Israel position you think it is, and as you are subsequently demonstrating, all saying it did is ensuring as many or more Palestinians die and the American body politic's resistance to actual genocidal movements (e.g., a guy who knowingly and willingly had the 'Hans, are we the baddies' skull on his chest for years) has been reduced due to the Boy who Cried Wolf effect.
