#venomians

OK YEAH I completely forgot to post these!! A handful of my StarFox OCs. Maybe you recognize them? In order, they are: Petal, Geneva Shepherd, Izzy Dynamo, and Jast Todon.

As a refresher (or maybe an intro?):

Petal is an Aparoid made of Killer Bee and Borzoi fighter scrap metal. She was stationed on Katina, but lost all direction when the Aparoid Queen was killed. This event was fatal to most of the Aparoids, but as demonstrated by Pigma, some of them found a way to survive. Petal was one of them; her will was too strong to allow herself to die so soon. She would lay low and hide out of sight as to not be spotted by Cornerian soldiers, but was eventually discovered by Bill Grey. Rather than killing her, he took pity on her and let her live and integrate into society. She has no voice of her own and mimics other Lylatians’ voices to communicate. Since she spends most time around Bill, she sounds almost exactly like him.

Geneva Shepherd is a Cornerian-born German shepherd scientist affiliated with Andross’s empire and Venom. She views Venom’s rules as more freeing than Corneria, latching onto Venom’s side early into Oikonny’s rebellion; she was far too young to fight during the Lylat Wars. She runs a farcical Bioweapon rehabilitation program under the guise of benefiting the Cornerian government, but truthfully her program is a testing ground for her ultimate experiment: cloning Andross to revive him from the dead.

Izzy Dynamo is a Venomian frilled lizard mechanic. In his youth, though he was too young to fly a starship, he would help repair broken fighter ships alongside an older brother he lost to the Lylat Wars. He saw all Venom’s casualties as senseless and brutal, sympathizing with the remaining lieutenants who had lost many of their friends to the same war. He harbors a deep-seeded hatred for Corneria, but fears he is too weak to fight them himself. So, he made it his goal to unite Venom once more and pick up the pieces Star Fox tore out of the former empire. He teamed up with Geneva to covertly sew distrust and unrest among Corneria’s population.

Jast Todon is a hybrid—half sharpclaw half salamander—born in Sauria. As a non-dinosaur in a dinosaur world, he’d always feel inadequate and unwelcome for being “too soft”, especially among Sharpclaws. He didn’t even have clawed hands, how could he fit in, he thought. So as soon as interstellar travel was established between Sauria and the Lylat System, he left his home behind to start anew in Corneria. However, there, he began to experience the opposite problem. Suddenly he was dubbed “scary” and “beastly” by the denizens of the planet. No matter where Jast was, he felt alienated. He joined Andrew’s cause late into the rebellion and was assigned to Geneva and Izzy’s team as a bodyguard. He felt somewhat better about it, but still out of place in a way. He doesn’t care much for war or revenge, and just wants to meet someone who understands him completely.

I am working on some new hcs / concepts art with the Venomians, and even if its the final result, i want your opinion.

Venomians type A: They are the reptilian species that evolved from ancestors for 300 years ago. For that reason, they are considered pure blood. They are creatures with a more humanoid appearance, with a height greater than other species and more brute force.

Type B venomians: Exact to type A venomians but are not considered pure class (aka. Bastard children). They are hybrids between different species of reptiles, and are not often born by the laws of most various peoples. This type are considered strangers to many.

Type C venomians: Venomians of not so humanoid appearance, small and weak, They are characterized by having some traits of the reptile species that they are, They are considered inferior by those of class A and B because they are not so evolved and only live in few of them in Venom.

To celebrate, I drew her interps and my interps interacting! ... Gil and Aaron are kinda like oil and water to be honest. At least Shawn and Osamu seem to tolerate each other...?

More of the Venom boys!! Now Copper and Warren have updated designs!

Armando Copper is a green Water Monitor with off-white markings and yellow-orange eyes. He is easily the largest of the bunch, taller than Galaxicos and much more muscular. He’s pretty cocky about this as well, often showing off his immense strength to his comrades. He is very easily excitable, and tends to yell instead of speaking at a normal volume. He mostly just wears stuff he knows is durable and won’t be wrecked if it gets dirty, but it helps if it makes him look stronger or more menacing, too. He doesn’t fear the Cornerian Army, and doesn’t feel the need to obscure his identity like all his peers do. So reckless, he doesn’t even wear a helmet!

Shawn Warren is a golden lion tamarin with... golden... fur... and black eyes. He has quite an overbite. He likes growing his fur out, but did have to cut it while serving in the Venomian forces, so it wouldn’t get caught on anything. He’s pretty short, almost half Copper’s height, even. Much like Granga, his voice is incredibly manly, though he’s not nearly as cute as Granga, so it’s less jarring. He is very egotistical, and can’t stand losing. This makes him persistent though, as if he loses once he’ll try his best to keep coming back until he can say he’s won. He’s not that big into fashion, but his outfits are usually pretty alternative. His Shogun uniform is rather atypical for him, even. Other than the shades, of course. It takes a special kind of cool(?????) to wear shades in the darkness of space.

In regards to my last post, I have in fact, never posted purple Gil! Time to fix that.

The drawing is from a set of images primarily from December 13th (Gil was drawn on the 14th) 2019, where I used arbitrary colors to draw each character. I remember I definitely drew Granga and Goras with my younger sister, I think that may be the case with all 4 pics, even.

As these images are quite old, Gil’s design (and Granga’s) is a little outdated. Nothing hugely different though. Mostly changes in facial features and silhouettes.

Felt like reworking the venom boys again. was originally gonna draw Granga & Copper together but Copper was too big to fit on the page so. I skipped over him. So now Galaxicos is here.

Mort Granga is an orange howler monkey with glowing blue eyes. He’s a bit short & scrawny. He does have quite a manly voice, despite his cutesy appearance. He really likes wearing bright & colorful clothing, like stuff you’d see in an 80′s mall. His “uniform” has been modified to reflect this, to the point where it’s almost informal... but Andross will allow it.

Gilbert Galaxicos (just call him Gil for brevity’s sake) is a black spider monkey with green eyes. He has a heavy browbone, giving the illusion that a shadow is constantly cast over his face. Gil fancies himself something of a fashionista, making wild modifications to his uniforms to suit his personal tastes. He particularly likes high-heeled boots and extended shoulder pads. Unlike Granga, he has 2 uniforms: the first is his Harlock-class Frigate uniform, the second is his Meteo Crusher uniform, hence why it’s much fancier. After all, there’s TONS of Frigates, and only one Meteo Crusher. Why not have a new uniform made for the occasion?

BUT I GOT PHOTOSHOP FOR CHRISTMAS! So I decided to try out this program by drawing my starfox characters! Geneva Shepherd, Izzy Dynamo, and R. S. Duke, now with updated color schemes (though I don’t think any of them had those in the first place to be honest). 

Geneva is a German Shepherd scientist stationed on Titania. Her main job, at least right now, is reviving and rehabilitating the Goras. Truthfully, she was employed by the Cornerian forces to work for good, but upon doing research and discovering that the Star Fox team themselves destroyed all the bioweapons, she secretly and silently shifted sides to the Venomian Empire. She won’t tell anyone, other than her close friends. She expresses loyalty to the rebellion through her outfit, but most people either don’t notice, or get yelled at for assuming she’d follow their cause. She has a strange fixation on the Emperor’s heir.

Izzy Dynamo is a Frilled Lizard working as a mechanic and a pilot. He usually serves as Geneva’s getaway driver, in case she finds herself in a dangerous situation. He’s always been loyal to the Venomian cause, as he was born on Venom. His strong suit is his connections, as even though Geneva and Duke are almost off the grid, Izzy knows several important figures in the rebellion, people who’ve survived Star Fox’s wrath.

Introducing R. S. Duke! A former member of the Forever Train crew, Duke spent most of her younger days helping Benjamin fuel the train, or carrying cargo into the train cars. She had a rather simple job, and was paid the bare minimum for it, but she still enjoyed working there regardless.

So, when she found out about Star Fox’s little venture to Macbeth, she was furious! Duke vowed to get revenge on the Star Fox team for destroying her income source and her main mode of transportation, but most importantly, for killing her boss in cold blood.
