Ok I fished oathbringer, that shit made me cry. Straight up sobbing, fantastic. They gotta stop making every character my favorite. My love for Eshoani is now pouring into Venli, and I think by the end of Rhythm of War she’ll take my place as favorite unless they kill her with a thousand knives, which knowing how these books go, very well may happen.

I feel like ethel cain's American Teenager has a lot of potential on a lot of stormlight character playlists (alethkar/america war culture parallels what have you) , but I'm gonna say something bold here and suggest that's a venli song actually

some of yall will read the stormlight archive and automatically assume the singers are the villains without realising that each individual character has nuance and you cannot stereotype an entire group

I think the funniest thing so far that’s happened with trying to learn the Korean alphabet is that I was trying to spell out character names, got to Venli, realized I didn’t have a “v” sound, and had to make her name “benlee”
