"When interior design meant "everyone must coordinate with the furniture." Welcome to the 1970s. The man is clearly exhausted from trying to keep up with these two fashionably dressed women who are standing while he's relegated to the couch. His brown velvet jacket is giving "I gave up and just wore what was comfortable" while they're over there in perfectly color-coordinated ensembles with statement jewelry. The orange dress with those gold buttons is a mood, and the black dress with the white sash is very "I'm the villain in this story."
