So here is little ol me scrolling your blog because I haven't in a while and I get to the post where you say that there are no reasons for Piero to have those cheekbones unless Clarice and Francesco had an affair. I will direct you to your comparison gifset of Francesco and Piero as further evidence. That boy acts too much like him!
LMAOOOO we’ve opened our third eyes we see the Truth!!! in all seriousness i think piero can be seen as a foil to francesco in some ways, i.e. they both have manipulative father figures who resort to murder to protect their family’s interests and francesco and piero are faced with the dilemma of whether to go along with it or not. but here’s where they make different choices: francesco goes along with jacopo because he’s had no alternative parental influence to counter the hold jacopo has over him. but piero had clarice who taught him to do the right thing even if it’s hard, who told him in their last conversation that she believed in him and knew he was going to forge a good and honest path. clarice gave piero a strong enough moral compass to recognize that what lorenzo was doing was wrong and refuse to take part in it.
so basically, piero is what francesco could have been if he’d had someone like clarice raising him too rather than just jacopo thanks for coming to my impromptu ted talk
