ZT Grafton font designed by Sandi Dez
(First?) conversion from video to variable font text mode. Made by Toshi Omagari, via @pixelambacht.
Bitzer is the latest typeface by James Plattner, now available on Future Fonts. First introduced as a preliminary version in September 2024, it has since evolved into a stable 1.0 release, featuring 64 styles, including a variable font.
An exploration of Latin flat-brush calligraphy, Bitzer selectively follows and breaks traditional rules. It balances modernity with reliability, offering a design that feels distinctive while drawing from classic forms.
Designed for headlines, logos and editorial design, Bitzer’s narrow proportions allow for efficient text arrangement without compromising readability. Sharp pen twists give the letterforms a bottom-heavy structure, adding a sense of weight that becomes more apparent in the heavier styles.
