sloslylove - Bedroom ft. Lady Midnight
It should be a well known fact that Wisconsin producer sloslylove has the formula to make you fall in love and if you didn't know, it's hidden piece by piece within each track that he so smoothly weaves together.
Between a few single contributions and his time spent with the steamy galactic trio, VANDAAM, there's no doubt that slosly has steadily been on point, and his new track, "bedroom", makes that a guarantee. Although '"Bedroom" sees the producer approaching a more delicate and airy style than before, it still manages to coast right alongside his signature use of deep, bass heavy funk at the perfect speed. Combine that with the beautiful and entrancing vocals of Lady Midnight and next thing you know, you'll soon be on your way to pure bliss.
Expect sloslylove to drop his follow up to 2012's "tendencies" sometime this summer but until then head over to bandcamp and get an electronic romance going.

so, i discovered this album in large part because i was a big fan of the album tendencies, which producer sloslylove -- who is one-third of vandaam -- released for free late last summer. one of the things i loved about that album was its hazy production, its bass, its chilled out synths. so i was pleased to find many of those same sounds on this album (check out the track “fashion week,” for example). but this eponymous debut also offers something darker, and pairs that production with vocals from “lady midnight” (i can only guess – i haven’t been able to find much information about this band, or its individual members). basically what i’m saying is this album is underground as shit, & wow i found it, heard it, loved it anyway. i feel like this is a cooler, free-er, and less boring alternative to rhye’s woman (which, for me, was severely underwhelming).
