This time I'm doing two cause It's two small roles:

First, Martyn -> Cherri

For the first one there's not much to say unfortunately. We don't really know that nuch about vsmp Cherri and vsmp Martyn's real backstory is still a mystery too... So I am going to make shit up lmao. Martyn fully believes he was abandoned, when Ren doesn't return immediately he already starts to wonder if he's dead or worse if he left. Then he hears rumours and he starts to prepare a funeral... And then Ren returns with red eyes and white hair and Martyn jumps him thinking he's a ghost...

Now to the slightly more interesting swap: Cherri -> Louis

Mayor Cherrifire. I like the headcanon that Louis was turned by Scott. Apo is in Scott's role. I definitely think something can be done with that... Maybe they met when Cherri was sick and something pushed Apo to save her, possibly before being stuck in magic coma.

Then Cherri becomes mayor, keeping watch over Oakhurst. It's not all sunshine and rainbows though... When the sickly Elle one day disappears after spending so much time with the mayor her enemies accuse her of vampirism (They were right but still) and set Cherrifire on fire.

Shelby -> Martyn

I have mixed feelings about this one. Shelby in the militia is fun, Shelby who is afrid of judgement and fabricates a backstory for herself is fun, Shelby who despite her kindness is forced into conflict by the wretched beasts is fun.

Buuut... this all means she dies, feeling betrayed as the vampires kill her by accident right at the end... i have feelings about this. Many.

Well, can't argue with the wheel.

I imagine Shelby's fake backstory to be similiar to Martyn's... expect her idea of nobility is almost entirely based on literature, she makes for herself a "noblewoman" accent which is just a weird french accent and nobody says anything but they all know.

Maybe her reactions to vampirism are because of literature. Canon Shelby was so open to idea of vampires because of Twilight, I wonder if she would have been as anti vampires as Martyn if her main knowledge of then came from like Dracula.

And so the militia is born... or the Oakhurst legion as it's called in this universe. Shelby ends up being the most dedicated member of the group until the end of the story... even if her ways are unconventional.

Shelby: Stay away foul vampire!

Apo: ... Why did you trow gravel at me human?

Shelby: I know your weakness, you'll be forced to count every particle of it! I read about it- I mean, it was knowledge passed from generation to generation by my noble house.

Sausage: Actually that should only work with grain and rice and some other stuff, not gravel. It would be really weird if vampires had to count something as easy to find as-

Apo: Sausage. Can you shut up? Please.

Sausage: I'm so so Sorry sire... I guess you'll have to punish me?

Apo: ... don't call me that. Don't say anything like that either.

Scott: It's gross. You should keep doing it, it's funny... oh! Do you want to see my latest story? I was ...inspired by you for this one.

Scott -> Shelby

For this one I needed to consider what "Shelby's role" would be exactly and what is "necessarily Scott Goldsmith"

Scott's father disappeared at a young age with Scott convinced that he was murdered, in trying to find the truth he begins to grow a fascination for the occult and the violent. Scott would, like Shelby, be ostracized. Instead of being bullied for believing in werewolfes he would be avoided for being creepy. Though he still has his charisma he doesn't have the experience, I do imagine him being accidentally too perfect in an offputting way.

If Shelby finds herself in Cryptid hunting and more light occult stuff Scott is more a true crime stuff. The type of guy to find enjoyment in a story about a perfect murder... and also since Shelby is a fanfic girl he's a creepypasta guy. He gets a thrill by inducing fear in his readers.

I'd combine his "learning to care" arc of canon into Shelby's "getting accepted by the coven" thing. All things considered though it would mean he and Apo (who takes Scotts role) would end up being very close which Im sure both canon variants would hate.

Also, his arc with Pyro would be Shelby's arc with Avid and I do imagine him being very petty about the house being burned thing. Using it as a "You guys started it" argument like he does in canon.

Pyro: Why would you help Apo, she's a vampire! A monster!

Apo -> Scott

I think this would be the most difficult roleswap to explain since she is extremely anti being a vampire and unlike a swap with Owen I don't have the chance to use grief as an excuse.

It is however the most interesting swap too. Maybe the trend of every character villanizing her is applied to her backstory. Hated by peers and forced into ruthlessness not hers until it is so ingrained it becomes part of her. Maybe vampirism is still pushed onto her through an offer she can't refuse and without resolution or Cherri she continues to fall deeper into the persona.

I imagine a manga villainess type character, with a fan she hides her mouth with and still a distaste for blood despite being a vampire. She drinks her blood mixed with wine to cover the taste and smell.

Scott takes the role of Shelby. This is a start for sure... Scott Goldsmiths personality in Shelby's role is hilarious.

Shelby takes the role of Martyn. I liked this until I realized this means she dies in the finale. I dislike this fact.

Martyn takes the role of Cherri. Waiting for who to come back?

Cherri takes the role of Louis (rip). She is cherrifire.

Louis takes the role of Pearl... Ok, monster hunter Louis... I feel like there's some irony here.

Pearl takes the role of Sausage. Writer Pearl! I like writer Pearl.

Sausage takes the role of Pyro. I don't really like vampires Sausage so him dying to Scott is not a problem for me.

Pyro takes the role of Avid. Replaced one complex about murdering someone with a different complex about murdering someone.

Avid takes the role of Abolish. What if Avid was still a wet cat but actually knew their stuff.

Abolish takes the role of Legundo. Oh yeah, he's still done with everyone's bull.

Legundo takes the role of Elle. Can't believe Pyro killed him... He gets to return as a demon tho.

Elle takes the role of Owen. Elle x Cherri real? Not clickbait? I...this is a crackship I approve of.

Owen takes the role of Cleo. Ok so Owen and Louis are taking the roles of Moonrot. I like both but still, slight downgrade cause Cleo and Pearl are awesome.

Cleo takes the role of Drift. So we get Cleo and Scott as a duo. Never seen that before (sarcasm).

Drift takes the role of Ren. And Shelby and Drift become the doomed yuri. I would have rioted if they died in canon.

Ren takes the role of Apo. So Martyn is waiting for Ren and Ren wants ti go back to Martyn? Typical.

In vampires SMP when Cleo tells Owen her moms a vampire

First he asks if they were a starting vampire, she says that they were human.

Then he says "Day walker" as if understanding something.

Then Cleo specifies they were adopted and Owen goes "ohhhhh"

This almost makes it sound like a Day walker is a term for half vampire in the vsmp universe. Which makes sense? The classic half vampire Dhampirs are the children of male vampires and female humans so maybe Day walkers are the opposite? Human fathers and Vampire mothers? Like the difference between a mule or a hinny.

But then Cleo tells us vampire can't have children... but what do we trust more? The knowledge Cleo got from their mom or the knowledge Owen got from Louis?

It's not a roleswap! Silver mirror is a bit different ... A morality swap of sorts?

Characters maintain their "sides" and the first part of their backstories but they are twisted, the end is different, they maintain their personality but their better and worse characteristics are amplified or diminished depending on the character.
