I would rather Baela kiss random squires who won't hurt her in the future. She has suffered enough and I know she will suffer more.

We already know Baela and Alyn are heading down a path to hell. We know all the dragons are going to die. We know this story is depressing, however, these writers seem to think that what they need to do is find ways to make it even more disturbing just for the shock effect.

When writers are so repetitive in delivering these shocks though, the shocks no longer become effective in shocking. They're just NUMBING. There's no ebb and flow, no tension and release to keep us emotionally invested and engaged.

I only keep watching because Bethany hinted we'd see Jace in a flashback. Was she referring to Rhaenyra's hallucination? That will not suffice.

The rest of this show is bland except for the dragons. Season 3 has dipped so hard after the first 2 episodes. These scenes are so monotonous. This dialogue is so flat. Am I supposed to care about these subplots? I don't.

Do these writers have any respect for GRRM or the fanbase?

If there is still going to be a flashback, I would have been happy enough with Baela remembering a kiss, but now they owe us a lot more than that for what they put us through. This flashback better be a full on EPIC FANTASY secret wedding night! No compromises. We need a warm embrace, a profession of undying love, a proposal to elope, an escape into the dark of the night, flying away on their dragons. We need a Valyrian wedding ceremony, running on the beach in the moonlight, dancing and leaping into each others' arms, making love on top of a mountain under the stars, sucking blood out of each others' cut up lips while their dragons watch them, whispering Valyrian sweet nothings, watching the sunrise together, talking about their future, sharing a passionate kiss. I will accept nothing less than having this to remember Jace by. He had a hard life and deserved a lot more.

And we deserve some consolation after all the brutality we had to watch.

What is the point of adapting an epic fantasy book to a visual medium if we have to use our imaginations for epic fantasy romance?

The source material is not going to have love scenes. It was written by Archmaester Gildayne, so can we just use our brains and realize the full personality of these characters are not going to match what is described? Can't we imagine there are sexy secrets that the maesters would be oblivious to? Can we bring more fun into some of these characters?

None of these show writers are creative or freaky enough to match the mind of George R.R. Martin. Would it hurt the show if the writers read the main ASOIAF series to draw inspiration from? Give us some comfort knowing Jace lived a little before he died? Would it trigger the butterfly effect and ruin the ending of the story? Do we have to stay sad thinking Jace died as a stressed out, cooped up, self loathing, never been kissed, virgin bastard who has been easily forgotten, not even to be respected with a proper funeral?

Did any of these writers understand why we love Game of Thrones? Dany and Drogo got it on outdoors with the khalasar looking on. Jon and Ygritte in a cave. Oberyn and Ellaria consensual polyamory. Even Jaime and Cersei had some spice.

The only kinky thing in House of the Dragon was the Valyrian wedding.

Daemon shagging Rhaenyra in a gloomy run down shack shortly after burrying his late wife was sad and not hot. Rhaenyra and Mysaria kiss was random and not hot. None of these kisses have been hot. The rest is inappropriate pairings; old men with young girls, uncles and nieces, moms and sons. Jace and Baela, a young, beautiful, age appropriate pair of betrothed once-removed cousins was the best thing we had.

We got all the kisses we never asked for and not the one kiss we've been begging for.

There is too much sexual violence normalized and treated flippantly in House of the Dragon. There's not enough hot sex. There's only sad, depressing, disturbing sex. No one is making cheeky innuendos. No one is having fun in brothels. No one is drinking. These writers do not understand GRRM's fanbase. We don't even have any invigorating pre-battle speeches.

Condal & Hess are choking it hard. Even Benioff & Weiss were better. Why did they get rid of Miguel Sapochnik who directed Battle of the Bastards? This series is a hot mess.

Why would I as a viewer willingly subject myself to more misery?

I do not have the energy or attention span to follow all these meandering subplots that will likely be abandoned. I don't know who does. I should just quit watching while I still have my spirit in tact. I don't want to get attached to characters only to see them endlessly suffer for no reason. This is too depressing.

It is such a shame since this is a once in a generation opportunity. George R. R. Martin might not be around if there is ever going to be a chance for a remake in the future. This cast is perfect and these writers are taking them for granted, not optimizing the potential of their talent.

I don't care if they finished scripting Season 4. If it is the same writers as this season, they should scrap it and start over. These writers have not earned trust of the fans. I'm only watching Season 4 if GRRM and Sapochnik get back into the fold or even Ira Parker. I'm not waiting another 2-3 years for a show that falls flat as this one has.
