Something cute for @agent-darkbootie
Leaning back, Ty stretched his arms out wide, growling in satisfaction as his spine popped in several spots. Twisting his neck yeilded the same results, and he was about to bring his arms forward for further stretches before a quiet chirp floated up from just behind him.
Resting in a large makeshift cradle (made from an old wine crate, a clean sheeps fleece, and a soft blanket), were a set of tiny heads. Little stocking caps covered frizzy curls, and one of the wee babes had their fist to their face, quietly suckling away on their thumb. Each babe was securly tucked into a soft blanket, chubby cheeks pink with the glow of sleep. One of them wiggled, making another of those same chuffing, chirping sounds.
Getting up from the bench of his floor loom, Ty squatted, picking up the fussing baby. Sol, if his memory serves him right.
Making sure Sol's twin, Cruz, was okay, Ty went over to one of his project chests. Digging through it, he pulled out a long length of woven fabric. With a bit of tricky manuvering, he soon had Sol strapped to his chest, securly tying a double-knot at the small of his back. After a few more quiet chuffs and whimpers, Sol dropped back off to sleep.
Sitting back down, Ty shifted Sol a smidge. Once satisfied, he went back to his weaving, wanting to finish his "Welcome to Neptunia/Congrats on the baby's!" blanket he was weaving for the twins Ma (and his old friend), Val.
The rhythmic rocking of passing his shuttle and turning the crank for warp advancement created a soothing backdrop. One could keep time using the quiet *thunks* of his reed beating down new fabric, and the soft groans of wood moving was a very soothing sound.
Like clockwork, Cruz started fussing. This one could get a bit more insistant, which is at odds to their usual quietness. Val had warned that the twins don't like to be parted for too long, though.
Minutes later, he had both squeakers snuggled up to his chest. Sol had only chirped in dismay before settling back down. Cruz, contrary to their usual mellow personality, had glared up at him as best as possible, the paleness of new baby eyes starting to darken into a grey color.
"Hmph," Ty hummed in amusement. "I take shits bigger than you, little bit. Try again in a few years." Booping Cruz's nose, Ty chuckled as their face scrunched up before they buried their face in his chest with a grunt. A bit more grunting with some wiggles followed, before both babe's were firmly asleep.
Yeah, Ty thinks Val's gonna have their hands full. It's always the quiet ones.
