#vacation time

made lots of progress on my cardigan

eaten some very yummy meals

had a couple of lovely quiet early mornings

watched some fun shows

slammed a dish on the counter at my dad for telling me i’m “loading the dishwasher wrong” when he always leaves his dishes on the counter

seen my brother and niece

dropped off a bistro set at my brother’s place so he didn’t have to transport it himself

gone to look at a bunch of couches

!! bought a nice new couch in blue!!! to replace the terrible torn and saggy monstrosity my dad got as a “temporary solution”

bought a mustard yellow corduroy ottoman to go with it

the ottoman arrives today; the couch arrives tomorrow. during the day today, i have to clear the shelves in my room of all the random stuff currently on them so i can put my books there. they are currently on the bookshelf in my parents’ room, but they need those for their own books (currently in boxes in the kitchen/dining area). on thursday, we’re having my grandmother over to show her the new condo. i still plan to make a lot more progress on the cardigan and also maybe another existing project (one of my blankets?? maybe! i might also pull out some embroidery, that could be fun).
