Tutorial: 4t3 Hair Conversion
Quick and easy way to convert TS4 hair in under an hour.
Sims 3 Tutorial: Multiple Textures
This tutorial shows you how to convert objects (either from other games or TS4) that have multiple textures WITHOUT having to edit UV or such, by making a TS3 object with multiple textures. Beware, only one texture can be recolorable!
EDIT: For three groups please change the third group type from âPhongâ to âCountersâ and press âyesâ to the popup. Then change back to âPhongâ and press ânoâ to popup. Switch the Diffuse to what you need and delete the Dirt Map. Then press âDoneâ and press âYesâ to all popups.
Groups you can use to switch to:
Counters
Outdoor Prop
Solid Phong
Additive
Phong Alpha
And another question how do you shape the shoe?
Generally the shoe already has the shape of a shoe, so all you need to do in Blender is use the scaling tool. So select the entire shoe (A) and then press S + X/Y/Z depending along which axis you wanna scale it :) TS3 and TS4 feet are not that much different in shape/size, so you probs wonât have to do much.
Hello! I've had a quick look through the tutorials and I was wondering if there is a tutorial for converting ts4 to ts3 decor objects and if I need to have ts4 to do this?
Yup there is! Just check through the TS4 conversion tag here :) Most of these will use Sims 4 Studio to extract the TS4 meshes as it is easiest and has the least issues, but for this you do need Sims 4. However you can always ask someone to export the mesh and texture for you! For CAS stuff you can also just export the GEOM files using S4PE and open these with the GEOM plugin in Milkshape. For Objects there is definitely a way to do it but I donât actually know how. You probs need to export the OBJD files somehow or do the same as the tutorial I linked. I guess the same way you import objects when making TS4 poses? I am not sure as i would have to test it!

Do you have a tutorial for converting shoes from s4 to s3?
Same principle as clothing! You just need to import the TS4 mesh into blender, delete the TS4 feet, add the TS3 feet and maybe reshape the shoes a bit to fit. Then edit the UV to fit the TS3 UV, and edit the textures to match your new UV etc. No difference :)
