Warnings: electric shocks, fall from a high place,
Frankly, you didnât think youâd have to deal with this today, or, really, any day. But here you were. Constantly getting a shock from whatever you touched. But on the bright side, your boyfriend was carrying you as an apology.
It started when Kaminari burst into your dorm room at 3am begging to try out something he made with you.
That probably should have been your first hint to something being off.
Since when did Kaminari build stuff? Why did he build something? What possessed him to have the focus and patience?
Well you found out when you went out to the grounds behind the UA Dorms, night air damp with the residue of rain, and the grassy dirt slightly moist. You walked in silence for the most part and Kaminari kept excitedly bouncing.
Eventually you reached a point where Kaminari stopped, and your eyes bulged as you gaped at the literal slide built onto the dirt. It was large too, at least 30 feet tall, with so many turns your head got dizzy looking at it. It was metal too, which you found strange, but brushed it off to it being more slippery.
âI bought it off the internet and set it up!!â Kaminari eagerly told you, bouncing on his heels a bit, clearly proud and excited. âIt was a little pricey but worth it!! I spent all night putting it together! Someone with some kind of building quirk made it, so it was retractable, so it could be way taller than you usually can put together alone. You know you mentioned an electric slide the other day in class?!â
You paused, before laughing and moving over to the slide, raising an eyebrow, âKami, I meant the dance electric slide, not a literal slide that has electricity.â
Kaminariâs smile immediately dropped, frown replacing it as his eyes widened. He kicked a rock at his shoe before mumbling out an apology, âAh, sorry (Y/N), my bad I guess. Iâll dismantle this-â
âNo!â You cried out, âWait no! It looks fun, and itâs tall too! Eri will love it too! Letâs do what you thought, itâll be fun!â You assured him, as his smile leapt back on his face.
âAlright! So itâll be electrically charged, and the sparks will kinda shock you each turn, itâll be so awesome!â Denki ran over and climbed up the long rope ladder connected to the top of the slide, as you hesitantly joined him, tugging at the rope before climbing it.
Kaminari sat at the top of the slide, turned around, and gave you a huge grin and a thumbs up. In the dim light of the few street lights on behind the dorms, it looked adventurous, which was maybe why you two forgot a key detail.
Kaminari electrocuted the slide- not too hard- and went down, the metal assisting to charge the whole slide, as he got slightly shocked each bump and twist. Laughing, he reached the bottom and looked up at you, before his face froze in horror.
You two had both forgot that the slide would shock you far more, being at the top and so near to the source. You were twitching, and as another small charge came at you through the flow of the electricity in the metal, you fell back, down the opposite end of the slide, a 30 feet free-fall.
Kaminari jolted himself out of his shock, before rushing over to the back of the slide and catching you bridal style, breath panting and screaming out apologies and expletives all at once.
Firmly, you slapped a hand over his mouth, before glaring at him.
âSo what have we learned about electrically charging a metal slide and shocking your girlfriend so that she falls down a slide? The wrong way?â
Kaminari chuckled nervously, before taking your hand off his mouth and shifting you to the ground with his other hand, which moved to hang around your waist. âIâm so sorry (Y/N), I promise Iâll look into the safety of something before doing it with you. Forgive me?-â
Kaminari yelped as your knees buckled, still shaky from your fall and electric shock. Smiling, he carried you again, as you both headed back into the dorms, making a note to dismantle the huge slide later.
â..iacceptyourapologyâ You mumbled.
âHuh?â Denki tilted his head to the side, confused.
âI said I accept your apology!â You yelled, before tucking your head back into his chest.
Smiling brightly, he asked, âSo can we try that aga?-â
You jabbed your elbow into his chest, saying, âNo,â as firmly as you could, as he laughed, and you two headed back into your room, to spend the rest of that night watching movies.
