Thoughts have been happening in the bloodloathing discord. Go my assassin AU
Not set on the context or what exactly his job role would be (some kinda secret agent thing probably) but Legs is highly regarded as a talented tracker and tasked with identifying and hunting down this assassin who nobody has been able to identify. His thoughts on the job in general are mixed and he’s not entirely sure he’s happy with it, but it pays well and he’s good at it so he continues.
It takes him a little while but eventually he starts getting somewhere. He’s matching up evidence between murders that nobody else connected and starting to notice a pattern that he can trace. He can tell he’s getting closer.
Scott realises that someone is tracking him. It isn’t something he’s ever dealt with before - he’s just that good at his job, so instantly he’s intrigued by who this mystery person could be. Unrelated to any actual orders or hits, he starts trying to figure out who it is, but Legundo isn’t stupid. He’s been covering his tracks, knowing that dealing with someone so dangerous could get him and whoever he works for into a lot of trouble. It turns into a race to see who can identify and stop the other person first.
I’m leaning towards Scott figuring it out first, but he doesn’t use that information immediately, instead choosing to look into him more. He’s been getting attached to this mystery person and now that he’s able to put a name and face to them, he’s even more interested. But he holds back, instead letting go just enough information for him to be able to find out what he looks like, and nothing else. With this info, Legs starts planning a trip to finally end things and put a stop to him, the only thing he needs to do beforehand being to figure out his name and where to find him.
Just after he’s able to put a face to the mystery assassin, Legundo comes back home to find him in his house. :)
