The WORST thing about Fate is all the really crappy “we’ll have this character say or do this so we can force X or Y in”. Like I didn’t take screenshots through my watch but the one that comes to mind is when Aisha is like “I’ll surround you witch water in case you get out of control” the line played the exact same as five year olds playing fairy, and not in a good way. And it was just to have a way to put bloom in cgi blue space during her “transformation” when she didn’t even transform!! It felt less like paying homage and more like a let down when she had the trails of fire going all over her boot cut jeans and they didn’t even burn away. I’m rambling here but fate bloom could NEVER redesign an old ugly dress to be cute as hell for the dance
Fate plot does not progress naturally, like at all. I think it is okay to have exposition to emerse the viewer in but they have Bloom and I cannot remember her asking any questions about anything other than her backstory. She is a clueless protagonist Netflix, utilize it!
The tranformation is hot garbage, literally. And the fact that they had to do the whole water thing just makes it worse.
And yeah Fate!Bloom does not hold a candle to Winx!Bloom in any regard under any circumstances.
