Yesterday's walk in the high desert turned out to be a natural experience, I won't soon forget. I saw what appeared to be a funnel forming on the western horizon in the Four Corners area of Colorado/Utah state line. So, naturally, I drove as far west as I could, scrambled across some fair canyons, settled on a high ledge and watched the show unfold. The energy was palpable and the sky quickly enveloped my location, but stayed fairly steady, until pouring sheets of rain hastened my retreat . At that point, I packed my camera, and with my dog at my heal, ran back to my car. Anyway, here are most of the images I captured. The last picture was down the gravel/state road, and I had to stop and take a picture because I thought the triangular rock resembled a turtle's mouth and nose.
