Commission for my friend. She just had a kid, loves coyotes, and is an outdoors buff, so I did her a fun outdoorsy family “photo”. Babies never look at the camera, ammirite?? 

Not the first time Utah has had a desert, these outcrops are what remains of Jurassic sand dunes that covered a large swath of the Western United States. Most fossil material recovered from this formation consists of Dinosaur footprints and other trace fossils.
