Please refrain from asking me if I'm excited about graduating for the remainder of the weekend. No I don't. I'm tired. I'm weary, resentful, and traumatized by these past 4 years. I feel invisible for all the work I've put into building this legacy and am struggling to understand what this almost supernatural barrage of adversity is supposed to be for. When I lost my dad in '14, I realized I was stronger than I could have ever imagined. When I most my great grandmother last year, I was happy that she could join my ancestors in a better place. When I lost my grandmother last month, I didn't understand but I knew I had to carry on her legacy of love and dignity. And under no circumstances would I consider taking another MINUTE longer than 4 years at this pseudo-woke bureaucratic nightmare of a university.
