Just wanted to show some "expressions" he can do

Ok so I have a few animations I made for the Gaster design I did the other day

(I'm NOT a pro or anything I barely ever animated in my life)

So, first off, walk cicle, he doesn't have legs but the "cape" acts like there are legs.

I've put a reference gif so you can better see what I'm talking about.

The "cape" acts like a cape but isn't, so it will show the outline of legs even though there isn't anything underneath.

Likewise the "cape" (which is just goop) will also try to take the shape of one, so when he outstretch his arms he just puts his hand through the goop and it will slowly shape itself into a cape.

(Also same as the legs, Gaster doesn't have arms you just thing he has because of the cape)

(You could cut right through him it wouldn't do anything unless you hit the head or hands)

I think it'd be really funny if the knight was either A) A character we've never seen before. B) an amalgam/goner.

I personally theorize that either "Dess is the one trapped in the game code while her corpse is the knight" OR "the knight is an amalgam/goner" maybe both??

I think itd be really funny if instead of Weird route Kris & Noelle amalgam, that its Dess & papyrus amalgam. Liek- everyone fighting over Dess Knight vs Papyrus knight and then Tricky Tony goes "its both, actually, now you can all be happy- wait why are you angry- this is supposed to make you happy- why re you angry-"

I also think that maybe Papyrus could be a goner, bc last I checked, he's not mentioned anywhere in deltarune, and I might be misremembering but dont goners get erased from people's memories??

Maybe Dess's corpse is mixed with Papyrus goner to make the Knight- also the Knight is referred to as both 'they' and 'it' and {just realized i sound realllllyy exosexist/transphobic here- but im not I promise infact im actually NB spec and some of my Alters use It/Its peonouns i swear im not exosexist/transphobic bruh} maybe the 'they' refers to multiple bodies while the 'it' is because amalgams dont typically {last i checked} have full control over themselves and kinda just act on instinct so that would mean its not really a person? It could also be that people instinctively used 'they' when talking about the knight if they assumed that its a person, but {correct me if im wrong} when getting Descriptions in Kris's thoughts, doesn't it only use it/its?? And people also pointed out that Kris would be the LAST person to mmisgender the knight especially since THEY’RE WORKING WITH THE KNIGHT-

Also the knight sometimes opens its chest cavity or moves the armor like it's part of its body. Stuff like that could be explained as just dark world vibes BUT☝️ this specific genre of cartoon/dark world logic seems to not be usable by the Lightners, which may make you be like "but Hostess, don't you think that the knight is an amalgam of Lightners? How would that work??" And to that I say:

Corpses are objects.

{Saying this with or without context- either way it sounds ominous as FUCK- ESPECIALLY IN THE CONTEXT OF DELTARUNE-}

So, I think that since amalgams are like zombies, and if we're going with my Dess corpse theory {not to mention Goners are a bit like zombies, too, just more.. aware.} That would mean that the Amalgam is an object.

Not to mention with the fact that we've seen that lesser living beings like Insects and Plants can become darkners, i think its safe to say that an amalgam could too.

Also, the knight is heavily associated with/made of Dark shards/shadow crystals, which are said to be made of broken hopes and dreams {I think that maybe dark shards are broken hope, hence the sword, because broken hope turns into desperation and desperation turns into violence. and shadowcrystals are mad eof broken dreams, and the dreams became the knights body.} Which definitely feels like something that an amalgam made of a goner and a corpse would have a lot of.

Anywya imma call this concept 'DessPap GonerCorpse Knight' which ill add as a tag ig anyone wants to build upon this theory in the future.

Also I dont think Gaster is the Egg man bc 1) he calls getting eggs an 'issue' and 2) if Friend is Gaster's cat and is attracted to the eggs, why would Gaster purposely get Kris and the SOUL hurt by Friend by giving them the eggs???

Although if Gaster is the Egg Man, I think that could mean that Friend isnt under his control/is his enemy. Or maybe Friend is just very disobedient and Gaster wants you to have eggs, but doesn't like Friend hunting you, hence the 'issue'.

Another theory I have is that with Gaster's whole 'Shattered across time and space' thing, maybe he both is and isnt the egg man? Like maybe the egg man is only a stray fragment of Gaster.

Also I think that maybe Gaster and the Knight aren't quite working together, but that Gaster just lets the knight do their thing out of amusement or something.

I think that Ralsei is Genderfluid or maybe some other NB-Spec identity. Bc he seems fine being masculine and feminine, like Kris, but the preference seems to change {maybe they just have a fluid presentationand not gender, like me :3}. Also, in a game like deltarune with the messages Toby is trying to convey THERE IS NO WAY THAT GOAT IS CISGENDER.

Susie is a runaway Foster kid.

She's not homeless, she just lives in the 3rd apartment building {<this part is canon/heavily implied, last i checked}

*In hindsight, Raise Up Your Bat is actually about Chapter 5 Weird Route ("Come follow me into the dark, with your heart as the arc that will show the way... ...through the waves"), and with Ralsei's transgenderism practically confirmed I feel like Don't Forget is actually sung by them instead, but these aren't really relevant points here

The reason I find Kriselle Knight funny is that it feels like a lot of the points for the theory still apply to my Kris/Dess Amalgam theory (lot of its body language matching Kris, the alignment of their goals, why the Knight has Holiday-coded horns and even the bat),

But without having the issues that Kriselle Knight has (requiring time travel from different playthroughs some people will never play (and thus might never find out on their own in their playthroughs), and how the twist feels somewhat disconnected from what feels like the goal of the story (finding Dess), and how Kriselle Knight doesn't seem to follow what the Shadow Mantle Sidequest seemed to suggest the Weird Route's end would be ("she was used up; you were used up"))

But best of all; the fact that other people came up with a theory similar to mine means I maybe wasn't that insane after all. Maybe Kris/Dess Knight could still happen. Like I'm not holding my breath for it but I will be hollering if it happens lmao
