US States #5: Arizona - The next USA state tribute with brand new pinup artwork featuring the great state of Arizona, often called 'The Grand Canyon State'. Joined the USA in 1912: While it became known as "The Grand Canyon State" in the 1940s, the canyon was so vast and mysterious that early 20th-century explorers actually searched its depths for "lost Egyptian pyramids" they thought were hidden in the rock formations. By the 1950s, the state became the ultimate roadside destination, where travelers could stay in "Wigwam Motels" and grab a postcard of the massive mile-deep gorge to mail back home.

2026: I'm 'rebooting' the US States Pinups Series, releasing TWO per month! With 50 states, even at two a month it'll take at least 2 years for me to get through them all. So we're restarting from scratch with a new style!

US States #2: Indiana - The next USA state tribute with brand new pinup artwork featuring the great state of Indiana, often called 'The Crossroads of America'. Joined the USA in 1816: Known as "The Brickyard" because it was originally paved with 3.2 million hand-laid bricks, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was saved from post-WWII demolition in 1945 and restored to its former glory. By the 1950s, it became the world's premier racing stage, where a single yard of the original bricks was left exposed at the finish line for winners to famously kiss in celebration.

Joined the USA in 1836: Long before it was officially dubbed "The Natural State," Arkansas became home to the first National Park land in 1832, where visitors in the 1940s and 50s flocked to "Bathhouse Row" to soak in 143-degree thermal waters. It remains the only place in North America where you can legally hunt for real diamonds in a volcanic crater and keep whatever treasures you find!

US States #1: Iowa - Kicking off the U.S.A. state tribute with brand new pinup artwork featuring the great state of Iowa, often called 'The Corn State'. Joined the USA in 1846: In the late 19th century, Iowa grew so much corn that residents became "corn crazy," building massive "Corn Palaces" decorated entirely with murals made of sliced kernels and husks. The 1891 palace was so large it featured a 200-foot tower and an archway wide enough for city traffic to drive right through the center!

US States #3: Alabama - The next USA state tribute with brand new pinup artwork featuring the great state of Alabama, often called 'Heart of Dixie'. Joined the USA in 1819: In Alabama, the "Heart of Dixie" is where modern competitive pitmasters fight it out, with their primary culinary legend dating back to the 1920s when "Big Bob" Gibson famously dunked his smoked chickens into a sharp, peppery white sauce. This uniquely Alabamian concoction, made of mayonnaise and vinegar, was so beloved by the 1950s that it defined the very flavor of Northern Alabama BBQ.

US States #4: Alaska - The next USA state tribute with brand new pinup artwork featuring the great state of Alaska, often nicknamed 'North to the Future'. Joined the USA in 1959: While the phrase "North to the Future" honors Alaska as a land of promise, its night skies have looked toward the heavens for centuries to witness the Aurora Borealis, which locals once believed were the spirits of ancestors playing a game of soccer with a walrus skull. During the 1950s, scientists in Fairbanks began some of the first modern high-altitude studies of these "Northern Lights," proving that the frontier’s future was as much in the stars as it was on the ground.
