These sandstone corinthian columns were a part of the U.S. Capitol building between 1826 and 1962, when they were replaced by more durable marble columns. In the 1980’s these columns found a new life at the National Arboretum in Northeast, Washington, D.C. in this configuration designed by landscaper architect Russell Page. #NationalArboretum #CapitolColumns #UScapitolColumns #NortheastDC #dctours #dctour #DCtrip #WashingtonDCtrip #WashingtonDCtour #WashingtonDCtours #WashingtonDCtravel #WashingtonDCvacation #NationalMallTravel #WashingtonDCbusinessTrip (at United States National Arboretum) https://www.instagram.com/p/CgonMv8ubj9/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
