I get that part of the whole ordeal is that big corpo doesn’t want physical media, that's another thing entirely. But when that gets fixed (which it will bc the good side always prevails Trust), but we literally do not have to keep it that way for computers just because “CD no worky :(“. Like what is the practical difference between a USB stick with a game and a game cartridge?

Think of the amount of cool stuff that could be put into the USB, as well. Game boxes already have some awesome art, but what if game manuals (and by extension, memorable game manuals, of which I am a sucker for,)would become more common due to not needing to invest in printing them. What if they came with an installation wizard that some producers would personalize with custom UI or music that fit the game, or even acted as a signature for the publisher? I'm talking like, the kind of vibes Wii games had with their channel splash screens, or even just. Pre-switch Nintendo UI in general. But on a computer! And, I mean, who knows what other stuff a particularly passionate indie development group would put in there, if they got in stores.

Now that's a real game changer.
