Well, here’s my official announcement. After being diagnosed with my 6th bone injury in a 5 year span, I took a step back and re-evaluated my personal health and what I want with my love for athletics. With the guidance of Coach @michaelrohl he got me to make the jump he’s been wanting me to do since my Freshman year at Mansfield back in 2013. I’m taking a hiatus from running for an unknown amount of time and I’m now focusing on cycling with the goal to start competing in a new branch of triathlons called Aquabiking (swimming & cycling). It was a heart breaking & difficult decision. Nevertheless, I think I’ve already fallen in love. We are living through strange times and worrying times, but also times to try new things. So Wednesday evening I joined a free zoom session ran by USA triathlon for a great workout. It was noon for them and 7pm for me! It was great to join live a class all the way across the Atlantic with people with like interests to mine. New possibilities are on offer, it would be awesome to be able to choose who to train with, not being restricted by where you are. Same with schooling children, at least partially, perhaps.
