UrSkeks and Telepathy/Memory
I've mentioned to #sableshroomtheartist a little bit of my HCs pertaining to this subject, but I actually think it goes further than just the UrSkeks knowing via telepathy and memory which race is called skeksis and/or urru and the roles each individual urskek had before the split. In case y'all are wondering about that part of my HCs, I think that the UrSkeks already had their post-split names applied to the personal qualities within themselves that the later races exhibited. As for the roles that their respective skeksis/urru pair had, that's where their pre-split memories came in. The skeksis and urru did agree on said roles once they noticed which races did better in which half of their pre-split role. Ofc, this was the only time these races as a whole cooperated on anything. Their pre-split memories were also strong enough to determine which one of them were siblings to each other and to help recall any other types of bonds they had pre-split, such as any kind of friendships or romantic relationships. Both the skeksis and urrus seem to have retained some memories enough to have visions, but I think the urrus are the ones that retained at least some telepathy.
