completing  startup  was  something  new ,   something  they  weren’t  familiar  with.      (  because  they’ve  never  existed  before,  never  had  a  body  of  their  own,  never  stood  on  their  own  two  feet,  never  even  had  them  before  today.  )      it  was  endearing  enough,  watching  darkened  brown  eyes  open  and  curiously  look  over  the  room  with  a  sort  of  awe  and  confusion,  only  to  catch  sight  of  hands  and  arms,  gaze  trailing  up  and  up    until  they  seem  to  realize  themselves.  all  at  once,  the  look  of  curious  surprise  ended  all  too  soon,  replaced  with  .    .    .  what  looked  to  be  fear.  but  that  wasn’t  possible,  was  it?  could  such  a  thing,  moments  after  gaining  a  body,  so  quickly  become  deviant?  unless  it  was  already  such  a  thing.  the  how  and  why  is  easy  to  figure  out.  at  least,  it  should  be  judging  by  what  happens  next.    they’re  the  first  words  out  of  their  mouth.  what  else  would  they  be?

“  Oh?  ”   Sarcasm   is   as   strong   as   ever   even   in   the   one   word   he   uttered   as   he   offers   a   nod.   Slowly,   he   turns   back   to   his   coffee.   What   was   it   with   people   and   his   wink?

AND   HE   LOOMS   O’ER   HIM,    silent   save   for   the   humming   and   whirling   that   comes   from   his   movement   and   battery.   was   he   solely   looking   to   verify   the   inventor,   or   was   he...   thinking?   after   a   moment,   his   mechanical   voice   cuts   through   the   faint   sound   of   the   inventor’s   music,   filling   the   empty   corridors   of   his   estate   with   a   new   sound   that   surely   the   walls   did   not   recognize   ---   nor   accommodate   correctly.

I     can     FIX     it!     He     does     not     know     what     he     is     TALKING     about! --

a     breath     of     air     shoots     from     bitter     smirk     as     he     raises     his     head     and     finally     makes     eye     contact     with     the     elder.     expression     is     incredulous     before     he     shakes     his     head     and     retorts     roughly,     one     hand     drawing     from     being     tucked     under     his     arm     to     bump     into     him     lightly     as     he     speaks.
