I've finally got enough resources to fully support me in my learning. Let's talk about a few!
Notebooks
My Hobonichi Cousin : I use my Hobonichi as my daily journal. If anyone is interested, I can show you guys how I use each page type. This is for memory keeping though. It's ✨️me✨️ in notebook form. I do a lot of junk journaling in it too. The Junk Journaling and Stationery scene here in Chicago is lit.
Decomposition and Cat Notebooks : The decomposition book is for my language learning notes. This is Spanish, Urdu, and to a lesser extent, Greek. The cat notebook is to keep all of my notes for the Google Analytics Certificate course. I'm hoping to finish the course by the end of June. Having a designated notebook for things really helps get my brain in that ✨️zone.✨️
Weekly Notebook : This one actually isn't what you'd think. I haven't journaled properly in a couple years, until this year. So, I bought this undated weekly planner to backlog my 2025 year. 2025 was a hell of year that I still can't comprehend; from polyamory, to my grandpa dying, to getting married, and to getting divorced.... soooo I'm trying to go back and get it all on paper.
Spanish Resources
Yo Soy : An activity workbook thay teaches "language education through culture." It has a bunch of interactive worksheets and QR codes throughout.
Animales en Verso : This is one of many Spanish children books I own. I plan to go through and mark them up to see how much I understand and learn new vocabulary.
¡MIERDA! : This is "the real Spanish you were never taught in school." How will I ever become fluent and authentic if I can't swear and make suggestive jokes in Spanish? Necessary.
Urdu Resources
Urdu Letter Tracing for Kids : Urdu script is a brand new ballgame for me. The complexity makes my head reel. So, this is the place to start.
Colloquial Urdu Textbook : It teaches about the script and through to words and phrases. Throughout, it has listening exercises too.
Cracking India by Bapsi Sidhwa : My knowledge of the creation of Pakistan is very small. This is a fiction book about the split to get me started.
Urdupod 101 : This website and app has it all. I've found it indispensable. I'm learning phrases that will help me a bunch when I meet my boyfriend's family.
