YES it is ABSOLUTELY still happening!! it's... clearly taking me longer to finish bower than i anticipated. but that (or maybe a vmars au) are my solo project priorities after bower!!
Okay spoilery question regarding Bower, as the fic is forever and always living rent free in my mind:
When Jonny finds out the baby is his (my heart is literally fluttering in anticipation of his reaction), will his feeling for Pat be revealed during that? So through his reaction or Pat getting confused like wait why is my very straight, definitely-not-into-me-or-the-idea-of-him-impregrating-me-during-the-first-and-(sadly)-only-time-we-fucked, FRIEND thrilled about the baby being his??
Does Jonny have to sit Patrick down (gently, he is pregrant with JONATHANāS CHILD WHAT) and explain that there is nothing in this world that would make him happier then Pat having his children (well, Pat /wanting/ to have his children).
Basically this is a very long winded way of asking will they OPENLY LOVE EACH OTHER SOON OR WILL IT TAKE TIME BE STILL MY WEAK, BEATING HEART?
more spoilers!!! (this is a lot of spoilers. some serious spoilage!)
okay so jonny is not going to simultaneously find out that the baby is his and that patrickās in love with him BUT those things are going to happen very closely together, like, within a two or three day span
basically the sequence of events is
patrick tells jonny the baby is his and they talk about it
patrick gets lightheaded, briefly passes out, and smacks his wrist against the counter on the way down (neither he nor the baby are in danger, heās just having some issues with weaning off his medication that are making him lightheaded)
jonny drags patrick to the hospital, patrick gets his wrist doctored and ends up on The Good Stuff for pain (āYOUR EYES ARE SO PRETTY, I HOPE THE BABY GETS THEMā he loudly and somewhat incoherently announces to jonny), and jonny meets dr. sievers again
jonny takes patrick home to sleep it off
patrick wakes up the next day and finishes casually upending jonnyās world by openly confessing his love and adoration and is somehow STUNNED to find out the love and adoration is mutual
which should take us through about chapter 11, i think? i know thatās a long time with how slowly iāve been writing :( but in story itās seriously like a thirty-hour span. so jonny has to wait a little bit, but not a lot!!

do you have any idea when the next bower chapter might be done? i just did a whole reread last night and god you are just so talented
holy crap thank you SO much!!! so i do have the chapter finished BUT i want to do some pretty heavy rewrites and edits to polish it up. i donāt normally bother with drafts (lol lazy) but i think this chapterās important enough to the story that iāll regret not spending the time on it. and then itās off to the beta and after that my final sweep and then iāll be ready to post! and... i still donāt have an ETA on it i guess :( but hopefully within the next week or two!!
