Torn between getting really freaky with whatever bog body monster thing I'm going to have House mutate into in the original content version of Time Borrowed, and keeping it restricted to a more gradual mutation so that it can eventually be reversed... On one hand I think him being super twisted and corpselike is interesting, on the other the mutation is like, a physical manifestation of his corruption and him reverting is supposed to be symbolic of him renouncing his old ways, though I'd probably keep some damage permanent to represent how it lives in him and can't be completely removed, like the evil he did...
Sigh, I'll be glad when this little worldbuilding obsession has run its course by tomorrow or the day after so I can get back to writing Time Borrowed. Spent yesterday and the day before coming up with place names for this future version of the story and then spent a huge chunk of today calculating the time conversion between the real world and the alternate world:
R.Years are Real Years, A.Years are Antipode Years (time in the other dimension)
Been spending the past couple of days developing the world and plot of... whatever Time Borrowed is going to be called when it's a fully fledged original story 😊 I love worldbuilding so much, creating names and locations and companies and the histories and agendas for various groups.
For anyone curious, the new name for Vegas is Las Vueltas and beneath it there's mysterious tar seeping out of the ground that radiates energy and when activated can transport things to a dimension just beneath the surface of our world that I'm tentatively calling the Antipode.
