I’m not trying to be sarcastic or cruel or judgemental in the least. If you have time to sit online and type angry things out to complete strangers on the internet you have the time (and your owe it to yourself) to also talk to an online therapist about why you’re so angry. It’s difficult for us to accept that the way we feel has to do with us and the choices we make to react. Others can indeed trigger us, aggravate us, threaten us, and provoke us. But it’s our choice how we react. It accomplishes very little to get into a screaming match online and it only contributes to more anger and hate in the world. Did you know people psychologically feel better after seeing someone do a kind act? How do you think seeing hateful acts makes us psychologically feel? It’s not good. Please take a minute to maybe control someone you can. Yourself. Everyone has an opinion and a right to it as they need to be able to think for themselves in able to grow and learn. The most important person you can work to understand is yourself. You have the time. And you have the energy. The only person ever stopping you is you. Just try it. Consider it. It’s really healthy to be able to talk to someone who is there to listen to your thoughts and feelings. Although it can feel really good to give it to someone who you feel has it coming to them, the satisfaction is short lived and that nastiness just keeps getting passed on. I think the world would be a better place if we all listened a little more to understand and judged a little less. And maybe passed on loving sentiments rather than passed on hateful ones.
