“i won’t, didn’t plan to.” with everything he did? did he expect he could come back to his beloved family free? as if exposing his father for the mistakes he did could make him get away free? no. “i’ll probably die sometime soon anyway Shouto. you’re here to say goodbye?” he stays there, planted right in front of him “please live. i’d be happy if you did, it’s all i want for you.”

there’s a bitter laugh on his lips, slowly turning into a full on laugh “YOU CAN SEE RIGHT THROUGH ME?” it’s louder than he intended it to be, but he couldn’t care. he couldn’t careless about anything right now “you didn’t.” it’s bitter on his tongue, spitting venom “none of you did, you couldn’t even see your own brother, Shouto!” his voice breaks in a tone unfamiliar for him. but very familiar for his younger self “back in that forest, you couldn’t tell huh? come on don’t lie to me.”

she was a CHAOTIC being at worst , and a irresponsible young adult at best. so to be fair - she’s still not sure why the school allows her to come and teach classes, or why she’s ever left alone with kids. 

           ‘   of course it isn’t .   ’    with a light shake of his head ,  izuku looks into his eyes as he speaks .  normally ,  eye contact is something he struggles with ,  but with shoto it’s been so much easier .     ‘   but having his eyes doesn’t mean you’re the same as him .  in appearance ,  yeah ,   there are similarities . . we can’t help the things we inherit from our parents .   but you can be better than him ,  through the actions you choose to make . .  that’s what you want ,  isn’t it ?  ’   he hopes that he isn’t stepping over the line ,  discussing a matter as sensitive as this .  (  it really isn’t his place ,  it isn’t any of his business . .  )   but he wants to help .  a moment of silence passes ,  and izuku reaches to gently brush aside dual toned hair that so often hidden part of shoto’s eyes and scar .    ‘  if it makes you feel better . .  i think your eyes are so much kinder than his .  ’    he hopes it makes him feel better .

the momentary spasm comes to an end and all he wants to do is knock that look off his face.  that smug  and somehow  unbearably affectionate look off his face.  destructive hands rise and settle against dual temperature cheeks  ,  left palm pressing a bit harder into the warmness than the left.  “   idiot.  you have to make a damn excuse  ,  huh  ?   ”   he means it to be teasing  ,  but he can’t help the aggravation that seeps in.  it’s a virus  ,  truly  ,  but he’s doing his damndest to cut that down  ,  too.  some trees were harder to chop down than others  ,  right  ?  lips press to icyhot’s before he can retort             say anything else fucking cheeky.  he lingers in the softness of it all  ,  feels himself momentarily melt into a haze.  bright vermillion stare into slate and cyan when he pulls back  ,  but he makes sure to change their positions before he suffocates.  again.  bakugou twists them around and swings an arm around his shoulders to make the taller boy hunch as he pushes them to keep walking.  “   come on  ,  peppermint  ,  we’re already fucking late.   ”

     “   eh  ,  the hell are you apologizin’  for  ?   ”   katsuki retorts as if the sudden voice hadn’t spooked him.  red eyes cast to the head that rests in his lap  ,  the once closed eyes now peering up.  he hadn’t minded.  in fact  ,  he knew the bastard would fall asleep the second he was comfortable.  absently he wonders if icyhot thought the impromptu nap would’ve  angered  katsuki.  that thought alone makes his hands go numb.  with a sigh katsuki lifts a hand which screams with niddlepricks and settles it against the red half of his hair  ,  mussing up already unkempt strands.  the warmth and softness pry at the unease within his fingers  ,  it makes him snort.   “     y’ missed a damn good movie  ,  idiot  ,    ”   he mutters as if it was intimate  ,  as if he doesn’t want stray ears to know he’s capable of unangered teasing.

     he smiles  ,  but that’s just the calm before the storm.   once todoroki’s hand begins to fall he lunges to bite it.
